Mizoram Governor General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) graced the first convocation of SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guest. Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, President of South Asian University, attended the event as Guest of Honour. In his convocation address, the Mizoram Governor congratulated SDGI Global University on successfully organizing its inaugural convocation, describing it as a historic and noteworthy milestone. He urged the university not only to sustain its momentum but to continue progressing with greater excellence.
He encouraged the graduating students, noting that having built a strong foundation, they should face the future with confidence wherever they go. The Governor advised the graduates to uphold the values of perseverance, discipline, hard work, patience and to always think big. He called upon them to confront future challenges with positive thinking and unwavering determination. He also urged parents to remain consistently supportive of their children’s aspirations so that they may achieve greater success in life.
SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad, was established on 14 July 2023 under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019. The University is managed by the Sundar Deep Educational Society, which has been contributing to higher education in the state for the past 20 years. The Society runs institutions in diverse fields including Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, Law, Education, Commerce, Management, Polytechnic and others, with around 5500 students currently enrolled.
