Mizoram raises petrol, diesel prices by Rs 4 per litre

The Mizoram government has raised petrol and diesel prices by Rs 4 per litre each, effective September 1. This increase is aimed at funding social infrastructure and road maintenance projects. Taxation Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana announced that the price hike includes a new Rs 2 per litre levy for social infrastructure and services cess, and an additional Rs 2 per litre for road maintenance.
