Motorola launches moto g max with 7000mAh battery, Sony LYTIA camera at effective ₹26,999

Motorola has launched the moto g max in India, targeting consumers seeking a combination of premium design, camera capabilities, performance and long battery life. The smartphone is priced at ₹27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, with a ₹1,000 instant bank discount bringing the net effective price to ₹26,999.

The moto g max features a Luxury Satin-inspired finish in PANTONE Stargazer, PANTONE Alaskan Blue and PANTONE Malaga. It sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits brightness. The device is powered by the Snapdragon® 6s Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and up to 18GB AI RAM Boost.

For photography, the smartphone comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 600 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP Quad Pixel selfie camera. It is backed by a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery claimed to offer up to three days of battery life and supports 33W TurboPower charging.

The handset also features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, MIL-STD-810H certification and an SGS-certified IP64 water-resistant design, along with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and Android 16.

The launch could appeal to smartphone buyers in Siliguri seeking feature-rich devices in the ₹25,000–₹30,000 segment, particularly those prioritising battery endurance, photography and durability. Its availability through leading retail stores and online platforms is expected to strengthen Motorola’s presence in the city’s competitive mid-premium smartphone market.

The moto g max will go on sale from August 20, 2026, through Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores across India. Motorola is also offering a Jio package featuring 5,000GB Google Cloud storage, an 18-month Gemini Pro subscription and access to 15 premium OTT platforms for ₹200, subject to terms and conditions.
