India’s AI upskilling market is witnessing a major shift as non-technical professionals emerge as the biggest adopters of Artificial Intelligence programmes at Great Learning in FY26, driven by rising demand for no-code and low-code AI tools across industries. The ed-tech company said professionals from non-technical educational backgrounds accounted for 66 per cent of enrolments in its AI programmes during FY26. Among them, nearly 64 per cent had more than 12 years of work experience, indicating strong interest from senior leaders and functional heads seeking to integrate AI into business operations.
The demand has been particularly strong among professionals from sectors such as BFSI, healthcare, pharma, manufacturing, FMCG, retail, education and research. Functions including HR, finance, marketing, sales, operations and product management are increasingly adopting AI-powered automation tools to improve productivity, reduce operational costs and accelerate decision-making.
To tap the growing market, Great Learning has introduced no-code learning tracks across programmes in Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Agentic AI. Learners can now choose between coding and no-code pathways within the same course.
Most newly launched AI programmes are structured within a shorter three-to-five-month duration, with nearly 70 per cent of the curriculum focused on projects, live demonstrations and real-world implementation. Speaking on National Technology Day, Arjun Nair said AI adoption is no longer limited to technology teams and is becoming a core productivity tool across industries and business functions.
