Manipuri tribal student body calls off stir

Agitating tribal students in Manipur suspended its indefinite economic blockade on the national highways passing through hill districts of Manipur following an agreement with the state government on Sunday. All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) gave the indefinite economic blockade which commenced soon after the 24-hour total shutdown across the hill districts given by them ended last midnight. Expressing concern on the backdoor appointment of untrained candidate, the All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers Association (ANPSTA) has filed an RTI on the existing vacant posts of Primary Teachers. Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed everyone that torturing, overloading, causing unnecessary pain or suffering to any animal, carrying either in or upon any vehicle in such manner subjected to unnecessary pain or suffering has been prohibited. Live grenade in Imphal AR transit camp

Barely two days after a bomb attack that injured a security personnel on sentry duty, a live Chinese hand grenade was found lying inside the transit camp of Assam Rifles in Imphal on Friday morning. The hand grenade was found near a water reservoir inside the camp around 8 am on Friday. Personnel of state police bomb detection and disposal squad retrieved the hand grenade after defusing it. Manipur student body demands penalty for exams violators

A student pressure group in Manipur on Thursday demanded a special law with individuals and officials involved in misconducts in examinations by categorically awarding penalty , a long pending demand of the student bodies. More than 4000 vaccinated in Mokokchung, Wokha: Nagaland

More than 4000 beneficiaries received shots in the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive in Mokokchung and Wokha. In Mokokchung, 3364 were vaccinated, where 197 beneficiaries alone have been vaccinated within this week.
