Vaccination for seniors, 45+ with co-morbidities begin: Nagaland

Along with the rest of the country, the second phase Covid vaccination for above 60 years of age and those above 45 years with co-morbidities was launched on March 1 in Mon and Longleng. A press release by District Hospital, Mon, stated that identified facility was selected only for launch, while more facilities will be open to public in phase wise manner. Liquor to be cheaper in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Cabinet on Friday reduced the Value Added Tax (VAT) on various brands of liquor by bringing it down from 40 per cent to 37.5 per cent as well as do away with the 25 per cent lifting charges. Excise Minister Kyrmen Shylla said that the decision to reduce VAT would not affect the revenue generation, because the volume of sales would increase after the price of liquor has come down.
