Anganwadi worker dies after seven days of COVID vaccination in Manipur

A week after COVID-19 vaccination, a 48-year-old female anganwadi worker died on Friday. The autopsy report confirmed she would be the first victim of Covidsheild vaccine in Manipur. The state health department has said that the exact cause of her death will be known only after autopsy.  Family members has however blamed the COVID-19 vaccine as the cause of death claiming that she had no history of suffering from any major illness. Meghalaya expects Rs 27 cr from mining lease

The Meghalaya Government expects to derive around Rs 27 crore additional revenue from lease holders of mines in the State who have been directed to pay the remaining of the 50 per cent stamp duty within March 31 on the close of the financial year.   Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, who chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, said the direction was given as per a court order that mining lease stamp duty is not under the instrument of conveyance and hence mining lease holders will have to pay 100 percent stamp duty. NLA to introduce NFRBM (amendment) bill: Nagaland

During the ongoing assembly session Thursday, chief minister, Neiphiu Rio moved that leave be granted to introduce “Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management” NFRBM (Amendment) Bill, 2021. The Bill will be introduced on February 19, 2021. The personal assistant to Meghalaya BJP legislator, Sanbor Shullai allegedly committed suicide at her residence here on Wednesday, police said. No suicide note has been recovered.  Lebana Lucia Marwein (44)  was found hanging in the bathroom this afternoon, police said. Police said that they are still investigating into the suicide.
