The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and the Mising Bane Kebang (MBK) have resolved to strengthen their long-standing ties and promote peaceful coexistence and brotherhood between the Nyishi and Mising communities. This decision was made during a consultative meeting held on Monday at the NES Research and Heritage Centre in Richi Jullang, as stated in a joint press release.
Both groups strongly condemned the recent killing of two Mising youths in Arunachal Pradesh and called for swift justice by urging the authorities to pursue the case through a fast-track court.
A general secretary-level committee was formed, including NES members Heri Maring and other officials, along with MBK’s Indra Kumar Chungrang and Johan Doley. The committee will prepare a roadmap to strengthen inter-community relations and submit it to their respective presidents within a month.
The meeting was attended by leaders from NES, MBK, ABK, ANYA, ANSU, TMPK, MMK, and AdiSU, highlighting a collective commitment to peace, justice, and harmony between the two communities.
