Ola Electric receives PLI certification for third-generation scooters
Ola Electric shares have been in the news ever since the Bangalore-based company said it has received production-based incentive (PLI) certification for its third-generation scooter portfolio.
This certification, granted by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, covers all seven models of Ola’s Generation 3 scooter lineup, including its flagship S1 Pro and S1 X variants, the company said in a regulatory filing last week.
Generation 3 scooters account for the majority of its current sales, so the move is expected to increase its profitability from the second quarter of FY2026.
