Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is set to commence from Imphal on January 14, covering an extensive distance of 6,713 kilometres across 100 Lok Sabha constituencies, 337 assembly segments, and 110 districts, as announced by Congress General Secretary in-charge of Communications, Jairam Ramesh, on January 4.In fact earlier on the same day, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a meeting attended by PCC presidents, CLP leaders, AICC general secretaries, and state in-charges. With it former party president Rahul Gandhi was also present at the meeting. Actually the agenda of the meeting included preparations for the upcoming general elections and the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ which Rahul is set to launch from Imphal on January 14.In reality the yatra is scheduled to conclude in Mumbai on March 20 or 21.From this Ramesh emphasized that the unanimous view from the meeting was to sustain the momentum generated by the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the positive transformation it brought to Indian politics.
It was also mentioned that the Yatra will kick off from Imphal on January 14, covering a distance of 6,713 kilometres primarily by bus. Rahul Gandhi will also personally walk on certain stretches along the Yatra route. The ‘Nyay Yatra’ will actually spend a maximum of eleven days in Uttar Pradesh, covering 1,074 kilometres across 20 districts. With it the 15 states on the ‘Nyay Yatra’ route include Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
