Pawar gives ‘24 hours’ to CM Bommai; Maharashtra stops bus services to Karnataka

Nationalist Congress Party head Sharad Pawar on Tuesday offered Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai a day or 24hrs to stop attacks in Karnataka on trucks with Maharashtra registration numbers, or else, he warned, ‘we won’t be able to withstand patience.’

The chief was speaking to a press conference on the reignited border disagreement between the two states over the city of Belagavi, which is at present a part of Karnataka. Maharashtra govt. claimed over the city because it has a good number of Marathi-speaking population.

On the other hand , the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) issued a notice it is ceasing it’s bus services to the neighbouring state on counsel of the Maharashtra home department.
