Recently, on the 31st of Dec, Assam cupboard proclaimed the choice to merge four districts within the state. The cupboard was chaired by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi. However, the choice erupted agitation amongst the final public. Protests came in from many district of Assam like Bajali, Hojai, Tamulpura and Biswanath. Opposition Congress party together with alternative political parties together with many organisations has raised voice against the choice.
Samujjal Kumar, the chief authority of AASU, demanded to withdraw the cupboard call. He explicit that, in no approach the merging is appropriate.
