Realme has officially set the stage for its next major mid-range contender, the Realme 16 5G, which is confirmed to launch in India on April 2, 2026. The smartphone is making headlines for its unique “Selfie Mirror” design, featuring a small reflective surface integrated into the rear camera module that allows users to frame high-definition selfies using the superior 50MP Sony main sensor. Despite housing a colossal 7,000mAh “Titan” battery—one of the largest in its segment—the device maintains a remarkably sleek profile of just 8.1mm and a lightweight 183g frame, thanks to a new high-density “AirCraft Structure.” The phone will debut on Flipkart in two elegant colorways, Air Black and Air White, featuring a premium “Gleaming Wings” finish that creates a dynamic light-shifting effect on the back panel.
Beyond its standout battery and design, the Realme 16 5G is engineered for high-performance durability, boasting an industry-leading IP69 rating for resistance against high-pressure water jets and dust. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and a large 6,050 sq mm vapor chamber cooling system to ensure stable performance during intensive gaming. The 6.57-inch AMOLED display offers an immersive 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,200 nits, making it exceptionally legible under bright sunlight. Photography is handled by a dual rear setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor and a dedicated 50MP front-facing camera for traditional video calls. Shipping with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, the device is expected to be priced between ₹18,000 and ₹22,000, offering long-term reliability with three years of OS upgrades and six years of system fluency protection
