Namma Yatri Parent Moving Tech Innovations Enters Europe with AutoMIC Acquisition

Moving Tech Innovations (MTI), the visionary force behind India’s successful open mobility platforms such as Namma Yatri and Yatri Sathi, has officially announced its entry into the European market. The company confirmed on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the acquisition of Netherlands-based mobility firm Automicle Holding BV, marking a significant milestone in the international expansion of India’s “city-first” transport model.

While the financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, the strategic implications are clear. Moving Tech aims to export its proven, zero-commission, community-led mobility infrastructure—a model that has already transformed the digital transport landscape in major Indian metros. Magizhan and Shan MS, co-founders of Moving Tech Innovations, emphasized that the challenges of urban mobility—high commissions, siloed public transportation, and closed platforms—are universal. “We proved in India that zero-commission models work and that drivers deserve better earnings,” they stated. ” With Automicle, we are taking those learnings beyond India to help global cities build open, community-led systems.”

To date, Moving Tech operates the world’s largest open infrastructure for shared mobility. The company has facilitated over 150 million trips and enabled more than ₹2,500 crore in driver earnings, all without charging commissions to the drivers. The acquisition is built on a foundation of shared technology. Both Moving Tech and Automicle utilize open protocols, including the Beckn protocol and TOMP API standards. This technical alignment ensures that the platforms remain interoperable and scalable across different international regulations.

Jef Heyse and Mohit Mishra, co-founders of Automicle, noted that the partnership is a “pivotal moment” for European urban planning. By combining Automicle’s expertise in digital parking and integrated public transport with MTI’s ability to scale open infrastructure, the two companies aim to accelerate the transition toward sustainable, people-centric mobility in Europe. The deal also promises “reverse innovation,” as Automicle’s sophisticated European expertise in parking and urban integration is expected to be introduced to Indian cities to solve domestic congestion and last-mile connectivity issues.

As Moving Tech Innovations establishes its footprint in Europe—a continent currently at the forefront of mobility sustainability—the world will be watching to see if the “Indian Model” can become the global standard for fair and open transportation.
