Assam BJP planning to host long week program across the state

Ahead of Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Assam will be hosting several programs across the state. According to the sources, the decision was taken by Assam BJP leaders in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The consecration ceremony is to take place on January 22. Additionally, January 22, 2024 is declared dry day ahead of the Ram Mandir celebration.

Investigation on cyber crime for hacking Assam CM account

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's Facebook account was hacked by some unidentified user. The information was shared by the minister through his social media handle. He said, “Unknown hackers made an attempt to hack my Facebook account this evening. Preliminary information suggests the hacker might be operating from Pakistan.” Further, investigation for the cyber crime attempt by the unknown user is underway.

Thirteen girls rescued from human trafficking, Assam

In operation by Biswanath district police has successfully arrested accused for human trafficking. According to the reports, thirteen teenage girls were rescued by the police from Rangapara railway station and arrested the accused. The Biswanath District Superintendent of Police, Subhashis Barua, received crucial information about the transport of thirteen girls via train. Acting promptly, operation led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabajit Das Baghri reached the location and successfully rescued the girls.

According to the sources, Milanpur village in Raha were bustling with visitors to witness the majestic Bhela Ghar, replicating Maha Mrityunjay temple of Nagaon. Fire breaks out between Police and militants in Manipur

In Manipur, heavy gunfight broke out between suspected Kuki militants and state force at Moreh town on Monday. Government employees arrested under bribery charges, Assam

Two government employees were arrested under bribery charges, operation led by the vigilance in Assam. Both the charges are from different departments of the government service. According to the sources, the first operation was laid at the Samaria Revenue Circle in Assam’s Kamrup district and another one at the District Agricultural Officer of Goalpara. The identified official is named Pradip Kalita, Supervisor Kanungo of O/O Circle Officer and the second employee has been identified as Budheswar Das. Further, more such operations are underway for bribery cases.
