Assam's city Guwahati ranked as dirtiest city, listed at Swachh Survekshan 2023 results. The city was ranked 402 this year. According to the reports, the city covered only 46 per cent waste generated by the households, 15 per cent marks in the public toilet category, 17 per cent in cleanliness of residential and market areas.

Government announcement for financial assistance for women, Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa has launched a new scheme 'Lakhpati Baideo' for significant move to empower women entrepreneurs in the state, Assam. The scheme initiates to provide financial support of Rs 35,000 to 40 lakh women. General and OBC are expected to limit their children to three, on the other hand, SC/ST/Moran/Matak and Tea tribes are restricted to four children. However, to avail the grant, beneficiaries must submit a comprehensive business plan supported by the government. Assam CM through his social media handle announced about the scheme with details.

Assam BJP planning to host long week program across the state

Investigation on cyber crime for hacking Assam CM account

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's Facebook account was hacked by some unidentified user. The information was shared by the minister through his social media handle. He said, “Unknown hackers made an attempt to hack my Facebook account this evening. Preliminary information suggests the hacker might be operating from Pakistan.” Further, investigation for the cyber crime attempt by the unknown user is underway.

Thirteen girls rescued from human trafficking, Assam

In operation by Biswanath district police has successfully arrested accused for human trafficking. According to the reports, thirteen teenage girls were rescued by the police from Rangapara railway station and arrested the accused. The Biswanath District Superintendent of Police, Subhashis Barua, received crucial information about the transport of thirteen girls via train. Fire breaks out between Police and militants in Manipur
