Education Ministry launches new rules for coaching centres

The Indian Education Ministry has issued new guidelines for all the coaching centre that are operated in the nation due to concern over students' rising cases. The guidelines says, coaching centres can no longer enroll students below 16 years old. Excessive charges and no deceptive assurance of securing guaranteed rank in the country will be allowed. Further, if found one lakh penalty will be fined and may cancel their registration. Their has been rising cases of students suicidal, unethical practices in the nation.

Students using smartphones hampering studies, Assam

Annual Status of Education Report (ASER 2023) has conducted a survey for Assam students from the age groups of 14-16 and 17-18. As per the survey revelation, a worrisome trend has emerged that children using smartphones, exhibit higher inclination towards more entertainment than their studies. The survey says from basic reading research: Among students aged 14–16 surveyed in Assam, only 56.9% can read a Standard II-level text in regional language, with a breakdown of 49.1% for males and 62.7% for females. Ration card holders to receive 5 kg rice free cost

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has officially launched the ceremonial distribution of ration cards under National Food Security Act (NFSA). According to the reports, over 42 lakh beneficiaries has received the card which was held in Guwahati. The Assam CM has informed that every card holder of the state is eligible for for monthly allocation of 5kg rice without any cost. Also for this month, the benefits will be available till January 31.

President Murmu to visit Karbi Anglong, cancelled due to bad weather

President of India Draupadi Murmu was about to visit Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday but the trip got cancelled due to bad weather. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed by saying, "the president could not come to the festival due to bad weather. Due to inclement weather conditions, even I had to start at 4 am today." According to the sources, the President was about to visit the state to attend Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth festival. Congress slams PM Modi to leave Manipur torn

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with his colleagues travelled from Delhi to Manipur to launch Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to launch in the state. According to the sources, the yatra will commence from Thoubal district of Manipur and will culminate in Mumbai on March 20 or 21 covering 110 districts in 67 days. Silchar authorities take concern over increasing number of vehicle

District Administration and Cachar Police has initiated traffic rules including use helmet, seat belt, refrain from parking in unauthorised areas.
