26 foreign terrorists killed in J-K

Security forces have killed 26 foreign terrorists linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed outfits in Jammu and Kashmir in the first five months of the year, a senior police officer said on Thursday. India logs 2,124 Covid cases and deaths

India reported a one-day rise of 2,124 new coronavirus infections, taking the tally to 4,31,42,192, while active cases rose to 14,971, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday. The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 5,24,507 with 17 more deaths, data updated at 8 am showed. The daily positivity rate was 0.46 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.49 percent, according to the health ministry. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4, 26, 02, 714, while the death rate has been recorded at 1.22 percent.

PM to visit Hyderabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the city on Thursday to participate in the 20th year celebrations of the Indian School of Business (ISB). He is scheduled to attend the graduation ceremony of ISB's postgraduate program class of 2022 and address the students. Flying of Remotely Controlled Drones or Para-Gliders or Remotely Controlled Micro-Light Aircraft shall be prohibited above a radius of 5 km from the ISB at Gachibowli.
