Three Children drowned in pit filled with water in Uttar Pradesh

Three children aged between 7 and 11, accidentally drowned in a large pit, illegally dug for sand mining near Sot River in an area named Islamnagar of Badaun district in UP.  The children, hurled forcefully from Kunwarpur village, were grazing cattle near the river when the accident took place, late on Saturday evening. A Nigerian police inspector has killed five civilians and injured four in a shooting rampage, police said Monday, in the latest violence in the country's restive southeast. On Sunday, the incident happened when the inspector stormed a residential estate in Enugu and opened fire on people there, state police spokesman Daniel Ndukwe said in a statement. The victims were taken to hospital for treatment. Ndukwe said five people, "whose injuries were critical, have been confirmed dead by doctors on duty and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy." More than 2.87 million people The Union Health Ministry stated on Saturday that COVID-19 vaccine doses are still accessible with states and union territories, adding that over 52.26 lakh doses will be delivered to them in the next three days. So far, the Centre has delivered 28,50,99,130 vaccine doses to states and UTs through the free-of-charge channel and the direct state procurement category, according to the report. China has launched three astronauts into orbit to begin occupation of the country's new space station.
