Petition to protect ‘Hinduism’ rejected by SC

A plea was filed in the Supreme Court to the Central Government to make guidelines for the protection of Hinduism in the country, India.  According to the sources, A bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Supreme court refused to entertain the plea seeking a direction to the Central government to make such guidelines. 10 Cancer hospitals to be constructed in Assam

A meeting presided by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma with state cabinet has decided to release 135 crore for construction of Cancer hospitals in Assam. According to the discussion, the sum will be handed to Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) for constructing 10 cancer hospitals. For the first phase, the amount will be released to hospitals being built in Silchar, Guwahati and Diphu. In the second phase, seven cancer hospitals will come up in Dhubri, Nalbari, Goalpara, Golaghat, Nagaon, Sivasagar and Tinsukia.
