All five projects for Assam approved by NBWL

For development of Assam's infrastructure, five project was presented for Kaziranga. As per sources, the five projects were recently approved by the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL). The list of approved projects were elevated corridor near Kaziranga, Guwahati Ring Road project, including the Narengi - Kurua Bridge, Deepar Beel Railway Elevated Corridor (13.31 Ha), Deepar Beel Elevated Railway Corridor (0.3 Ha), and the Chapaguri to Amteka Assam Mala project road extending up to the Bhutan border. Assam govt new project begins in the city, Guwahati

The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced the temporary closure of a section of MG Road at Bhoothnath and Machkhowa in Guwahati, Assam. The notification was issued due to the ongoing construction of the new flyover connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati over the Brahmaputra River. A youth from Assam, hailing from Guwahati tried to abduct a woman forcefully near the GS road area while she was back from her work. According to the sources, the accused with three other of his friends tried to abduct the woman forcefully but failed as people present in the area rescued her. Later, the accused with his four-wheelers tried to run over the victim and her friend, injuring both of them. Further, both the victims were rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
