Damages caused for hailstorm and thunderstorm

Today, April 24 all Tinsukia district schools and colleges to remain close ordered by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). According to the sources, on April 22 and 23 severe thunderstorm and hailstorms occurred in district which caused damages in most of the areas. In regards, of the safety of the students this decision announced. As due to the storm some person lost their lives in the storm. Also the two helpline numbers i.e. 9394585622, 9365118503 have been issued by the administration for anybody stuck in the storm.

Angkita Dutta accused for anti-party activity

On Saturday, Assam Youth Congress president Angkita Dutta was expelled from the primary membership of the Congress for six years. On Thursday, Assam-Arunachal signed MoU by ending long pending border disputes between the states in the northeast region.
