Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership disqualified

A day after receiving a criminal defamation verdict from a Surat court, Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from the Lok Sabha. According to the provisions of Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and Article 102 (1)(e) of the Constitution, Mr. Gandhi is ineligible to serve as a member of the Lok Sabha as of the date of his conviction, according to a notification from the lower house signed by Secretary General Utpal Kumar Singh. World Water Day was celebrated on Wednesday, 22 March. Jal Jeevan Mission was inaugurated in the northeast states tp provide tap water in every rural household. 57 civil servants dismissed

On Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister told during Assam Assembly about dismissing civil servants executed cash for job scam. To his reports, altogether he dismissed 57 state civil servants of 2013, 2015 and 2016 batches and arrested along with it.  Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said 60 people, who passed the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examinations in those three years, have been brought under investigation.
