Border dispute issue raised in Assam assembly

Few weeks ago Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made a remark on Mukroh village disputed inter-state border, that the village belongs to Assam. On Tuesday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma claimed that Mukroh is a part of Meghalaya not Assam. “I have clearly stated that Mukroh is very much a part of Meghalaya. Facts and figures indicate that. Other statements may have been made but our stand is clear,” Sangma told the assembly. US condemns unacceptable attack on Indian consulate
