46 AANLA militants laid down weapons

On Sunday, 46 members of tribal militants laid down their arms after signing a peace deal with the government in Assam's Sonitpur district. The All Adivasi National Liberation Army (AANLA), formed in 2006, claims to fight for the rights of the tribal culture of plantation workers in Assam. A peace agreement was signed with the government in September last year. On Thursday, Guwahati Police seized 320 kg Cannabis from a truck. Along with the cannabis, police arrested one person connected with the smuggling.  The victim got arrested by the police is identified as Thongiya Mog from Tripura.
