Shares of low-cost carrier SpiceJet Ltd rose over 3% on October 28 after it announced 32 new flights for the winter schedule starting October 27 to expand domestic and international connectivity.
“With 30 of these flights operating in the domestic sector and 2 connecting Delhi to Phuket with a daily non-stop service, SpiceJet aims to enhance connectivity and offer more choices to travellers.
The winter schedule will include exciting new routes, including four new flights from Mumbai to Patna, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Goa,” SpiceJet said that in a stock exchange filing.
The airline said that it will connect Patna to Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Kolkata and Bengaluru. “We are delighted to declare the addition of 32 new flights to our network. This expansion reflects our commitment to provide seamless connectivity, affordable air travel and superior customer experience to our passengers,” SpiceJet Chief Business Officer Debojo Maharishi said.
“As we continue to grow our fleet and operations, we look forward to welcoming passengers as we continue our journey towards a more robust fleet and service delivery.” SpiceJet has announced the addition of 10 aircraft to its fleet by November.
The airline declared the introduction of new UDAN flights connecting Shivamogga in Karnataka to Chennai and Hyderabad from October 10, 2024. SpiceJet also launched a double daily flight service connecting the major cities of Chennai and Kochi. “As SpiceJet accelerates the process of offloading its fleet, the airline is looking forward to adding even more flights to meet the needs of passengers in the coming weeks,” the airline said.
