The state team in fencing U-17 boys and girls left Imphal on Sunday

Recently the state team for the 67th National School Games in fencing U-17 boys and girls left Imphal on Sunday for Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Actually the team composed of four each of boys and girls will compete in foil, epee and sabre events during the course of the fencing competition, which will go to commence on February 7 and run through February 10, 2024.

In reality the state squad includes N Ritankumar, P Yoihenba, Satyaraj M and N Thoihenba for boys’ foil event; H Tonibia, Ng Merina, Alina Th and T Osita for girls’ foil event; A Thomba, Tonthang Hijam, K Priyojit Singh and Nongpoknganba Y for boys’ epee event; Th Anjita, N Jazzy, K Chanu Jotirika and K Jenita for girls’ epee event; Chinglem-na Toijam, Koubru Nepram, Nelson H and Ng Mangangba for boys’ sabre event; and Silkya L, A Florina, Th Somika and K Yaipharembi for girls’ sabre event. This is actually very good as now people are giving attention to fencing and want to make our country proud on this game.
