Toing expands footprint, launches affordable food delivery app in Kolkata

Affordable food delivery platform Toing has announced its launch in Kolkata, further strengthening its presence across India. Launched in September 2025, the app is now live in 20 cities including Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Guwahati, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Patna, marking rapid expansion within seven months. Toing guarantees the lowest item prices on food and beverages, promising to match or beat restaurant menu rates. It also offers zero packaging charges and no platform fees on any order, positioning itself as one of the most cost-effective options in the market. Users can order items such as biryanis, burgers and bowls for under Rs. 99.

The app has onboarded several popular Kolkata eateries including Arsalan, Aahare Bengali, Shanghai Flavours of China Town and Dunkel Braun, along with national brands like Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell and Wow Momo. Targeting Gen Z, college students and value-conscious users, Toing’s pricing model has driven strong adoption, helping it cross over 4 million downloads with a 4.5 rating.

Speaking on the expansion, Chief Business Officer Sidharth Bhakoo said Kolkata’s large base of young consumers makes it an ideal market for Toing’s affordability-focused model. Kolkata’s food delivery market is highly competitive, dominated by price-sensitive consumers and a strong culture of local eateries. Toing’s no-fee model and low pricing strategy could disrupt existing players by attracting students and first-time earners, especially in areas with dense college populations.
