Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha has submitted a ₹431.71 crore proposal to the North Eastern Council (NEC) aimed at achieving self-sufficiency in milk, meat, and egg production across the state and the region. In a high-level meeting chaired by Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Dr. Saha also pressed for a modern animal disease detection lab in the state. Highlighting livestock and fisheries as vital sectors, Dr. Saha said Tripura is focused on bridging the nutritional gap by ramping up dairy, poultry, and fish production.
