Vivo is set to introduce another smartphone in its T5 series in India. The company has confirmed that the Vivo T5 5G will officially launch on September 2 at 12pm IST. Several key specifications and design details have already been revealed ahead of the launch.
The upcoming smartphone will be added to Vivo’s existing T5 lineup, which includes the T5 Lite 5G, T5x 5G and T5 Pro 5G. It will be offered in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour variants.
Vivo has also launched a dedicated page for the T5 5G on Flipkart, indicating that the smartphone may be available through the e-commerce platform as well as Vivo’s official online store.
In terms of design, the Vivo T5 5G will feature the company’s Skyline Design. The rear panel will have a horizontal camera module containing two cameras and an LED light ring. The smartphone will have curved edges and a 7.9mm slim profile.
The display is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the phone. It will feature a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 3D curved AMOLED panel. A centrally placed hole-punch cutout will house the selfie camera.
Vivo has described the T5 5G as the slimmest 3D curved display phone in the Rs. 34,999 to Rs. 49,999 segment. Although the exact price has not been announced yet, this suggests that the smartphone could be priced below Rs. 50,000.
Powering the device will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. Details about the RAM and storage variants are yet to be revealed.
The Vivo T5 5G will also feature a large 7,050mAh battery and run on OriginOS. The combination of a high-refresh-rate curved AMOLED display and large battery is expected to be among the phone’s key highlights.
Vivo is likely to announce the remaining details before the September 2 launch, including the camera specifications, RAM and storage options, charging technology and India pricing.
