On the occasion of Independence Day, the number of metro stations in Kolkata was reduced. Currently, there are about a hundred fewer metros. The opening and closing hours of the metro, however, remain unchanged. According to an announcement by the Kolkata Metro Railway, the first metro from Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash will be accessible on August 15 at 6:50 am. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned eight senior police officers of West Bengal to New Delhi for questioning in the coal smuggling case, officers stated on Thursday. Among the IPS officers summoned through the central agency were Gnanavant Singh (ADG, CID), Koteshwara Rao, S Selvamurugan, Shyam Singh, Rajeev Mishra, Sukesh Kumar Jain and Tathagata Basu, they said.
