Yogi Adityanath interacts with Bollywood members in Mumbai

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday invited prominent members of the entertainment industry to explore his state as a filmmaking destination to present Uttar Pradesh as a film-friendly state.

“We have made two of your film fraternity members MPs and we know the problems you face and what needs to be done,” the Chief Minister said while interacting with Bollywood members in Mumbai. Cinema plays an important role in uniting the society and safeguarding the unity and sovereignty of the country.”

Shri Adityanath is visiting Mumbai to promote an investor conference to be held in Lucknow next month. He said Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a film-friendly state and has been recognized by the National Film Awards of India and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

He said, not only the safe environment, the northern state has good connectivity.

The Chief Minister said that according to his government’s film policy if a web series is shot in UP, 50 percent subsidy will be given. Similarly, a 25 percent subsidy is provided for setting up studios and film labs.

Producer Boney Kapoor, filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Nirhua, playback singer Sonu Nigam, Gorakhpur Lok Sabha MP and actor Ravi Kishen, Kailash Kher, actor Sunil Shetty, Madhur Bhandarkar and Rajkumar Santoshi were present at the event.
