AIFF Signs Partnership with Estonian Vision SparkObjective to provide international exposure to Indian footballers

A landmark agreement has been formally signed today between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Estonia’s Vision Spark. The partnership was announced at a joint press conference organized in Guwahati today. AIFF stated that this partnership with the Estonian organization—which has an elite representative status—aims to strengthen Indian football from the grassroots level through infrastructure, international training, and exposure.
Furthermore, under this agreement, Vision Spark and AIFF will jointly provide professional support, coaching, and management to Indian footballers (specifically youth levels and academies). It will create a pathway to integrate local talent with international standards.
The primary objective of this collaboration is the holistic development of football, incorporating tactical training, technical workshops, and regular exchanges. This partnership will give young players a taste of international football standards, bringing global expertise directly to them.
Besides training, exposure, and infrastructure development, this agreement will pave the way for Indian youth and academy teams to travel, play, and train under the guidance of top European professionals.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time AIFF has tied up with Estonia. Previously, the Indian Women’s League (IWL) champion team of 2019, and subsequently Gokulam Kerala FC in 2022, participated in international tournaments under a similar framework, turning their exposure into historic achievements. Under the new agreement, future projects are expected to scale up, helping Indian footballers display their potential on international platforms while shaping the future direction of Indian football.
Apart from the primary development of talent, this collaboration offers a meaningful path for competitive exposure and financial self-sustainability, ultimately guiding Indian football toward a robust global environment.
Additionally, it is mentioned that the partnership will bring two professional coaches from Estonia to India to train youth players. They will provide high-quality training via the Estonian Football Academy.
Concurrently, a representative delegation from the Estonian government met with officials to discuss grassroots football development. A senior international coordinator and an expert youth coach from Estonia will be stationed in Guwahati for this purpose. They will work directly with the local academies in Assam and Guwahati to elevate standard training modules, scouting systems, and infrastructure development.
