In yet another terrible example of human-wildlife conflict, a 46-year-old tea garden laborer was murdered by a wild elephant in Aghuripather, located between Namsang and Deomali in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district. This is the second occurrence in the region this month, and the third in the last year, highlighting the rising threat presented by wild elephant invasions into human communities.
