Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects totalling a ‘landmark investment’ of Rs 196.44 crore during his visit to Riga village in Siang district, aimed at boosting infrastructure, connectivity, education and public services.Addressing a gathering at Riga, Khandu emphasised the significance of the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP), while terming it a project of national importance.“Around 70 percent of stakeholders have supported the Preliminary Feasibility and Allied Reports (PFAR),” the Chief Minister informed while seeking support from others.He said the project would help in flood control, water regulation, protecting downstream communities and…
