Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi today visited the flood hit Barpeta and Baksa districts where the over-flowing rivers created havoc, rendering thousands of people homeless. The Governor during his day long visit, first arrived Safakamar and took stock of the erosion hit road. A massive explosion has been reported from one of the Oil India wells in Baghjan in Assam's Tinsukia district. The explosion happened when an operation was underway to douse the fire that has been raging at the Baghjan oil field for 56 days now.
