The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to raise funds from donors, both national and international, as it urgently requires over Rs 6,300 crore to improve infrastructures in schools for implementing the National Education Policy-2020. The government plans to launch the infrastructure building programme this year so as to complete it by the year 2024. There are 44,519 government schools in Andhra Pradesh with 66,846 rooms at present. At least three naval personnel died in a blast onboard Indian Navy destroyer INS Ranvir on Tuesday. Two Indians killed in a suspected Houthi drone attacks near Abu Dhabi airport. According to the reports, the two Indians were among six injured in the attacks. Among the injured two were discharged on Monday night after medical treatment. In the attack Pakistani national were killed and six others injured in the attack claimed by Houthi rebels in Yemen. The explosions were caused by "small flying objects", possibly drones that hit three petroleum tankers in Abu Dhabi. India reported 2,58,089 fresh COVID-19 cases and 385 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday. The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country has moved up to 3,73,80,253 including 16,56,341 active cases. Active cases account for 4.43 per cent of the total infections.
