Mizoram Police, in coordination with the Excise and Narcotics Department and the Young Mizo Association (VMA), have arrested at least 71 individuals, including 15 foreigners, in connection with alleged drug smuggling since September 1, officials confirmed on Tuesday. The crackdown is part of an ongoing anti-drug smuggling operation aimed at dismantling narcotics networks across the state. Inspector General of Police (Headquarters) H. Ramthiengliana said the drive, which began in early September, is scheduled to continue until December, with authorities maintaining intensive monitoring of suspicious activities.
