Live grenade in Imphal AR transit camp

Barely two days after a bomb attack that injured a security personnel on sentry duty, a live Chinese hand grenade was found lying inside the transit camp of Assam Rifles in Imphal on Friday morning. The hand grenade was found near a water reservoir inside the camp around 8 am on Friday. Personnel of state police bomb detection and disposal squad retrieved the hand grenade after defusing it. Two new COVID-19 cases were detected in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district, while one more recovered from the viral infection in the district on Thursday.
