Mizoram Lokayukta has registered 20 corruption-related complaint during 2024-2025.The Sixth Annual Report mentioned that of these complaints, six were referred for preliminary inquiry. Since its establishment in March 2019, the Mizoram Lokayukta has registered 91 cases as of January 8, 2026. Of these, 58 have been disposed of, with 33 remaining under preliminary inquiry and investigation. Amidst a cold wave gripping the state, Mizoram has issued a public advisory in regard to precautions to be taken with minimum temperatures in several districts dipping considerably to between 4 and 8 degrees Celsius.
