Samsung Electronics today announced that its smart home platform, SmartThings, has become the first in the industry to support Matter-compatible cameras through the new Matter 1.5 smart home standard. The rollout, scheduled to begin later this month, will expand SmartThings’ existing lineup of Matter devices such as lights, door locks, switches, and sensors by including next-generation security cameras.
