Last month, the world’s two biggest tech companies--Apple and Google--partnered to fight the spread of coronavirus disease. Now, both companies have announced the launch of Exposure Notifications API. This tool can help authorities of different countries create Exposure Notification apps. Domestic passenger flights will resume from Monday "in a calibrated manner", the government said today. There may be fewer flights but Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said "it is not viable" to keep middle seat vacant as ticket prices would shoot up.Flights were stopped in late March, when the country went into lockdown to slow the spread of coronavirus. The Union Home Ministry has granted exemptions from the lockdown to conduct board examinations for classes 10 and 12, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday.The Home Ministry has already written to all state governments informing them about the exemptions given for holding the examinations across the country with certain conditions."Taking into consideration the academic interest of a large number of students, it has been decided to grant exemption from lockdown measures to conduct board examination for classes 10th and 12th, with few conditions like social distancing, face mask etc, for their safety," Mr Shah tweeted.

A Delhi court has refused to allow early hearing of a plea seeking registration of FIR in relation to the attack on students and teachers at JNU on January 5 saying courts have to hear only urgent cases owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.The court noted that investigations pertaining to the violence at JNU campus were in progress and dismissed the plea.
