Heroin worth ₹35 Lakhs seized by Assam rifles in Melbuk

Assam Rifles seized four hongs of Heroin No. 4, approximately 50 grams, valued at ₹35 lakhs, in the general area of Melbuk, Zokawthar, on Friday. The operation led to the apprehension of a woman, reportedly a resident of Tahan, Myanmar. The joint operation was conducted by a team from Assam Rifles and the Police Department of Zokawthar, acting on specific intelligence during a special Area Domination Patrol established by Assam Rifles. The seized consignment and the apprehended woman were handed over to the Police Department of Zokawthar for further legal proceedings, according to a press release.
