BLS International bags West Bengal contract for Ayushman Bharat card approval services

BLS International has secured a contract from the Government of West Bengal, in collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA), to function as one of the Card Approver Agencies for the Ayushman Bharat PradhanMantri-Jan ArogyaYojana (AB PM-JAY) and AyushmanVayVandana Cards. The company will verify and approve beneficiary applications through the NHA’s digital platform, covering an estimated 8.5 crore beneficiaries across the state. The contract is expected to strengthen the delivery of health cards and improve access to government healthcare services, particularly for eligible families under AB PM-JAY and senior citizens aged 70 years and above applying for AyushmanVayVandana Cards. BLS International said it will leverage its expertise in digital service delivery, citizen-centric operations and large-scale programme management to support the implementation of one of India’s largest public healthcare initiatives.

Commenting on the development, Joint Managing Director ShikharAggarwal said the partnership reflects the confidence reposed by government institutions in the company’s ability to deliver efficient and transparent citizen services, adding that dedicated teams would ensure a seamless card approval process for eligible beneficiaries. In Kolkata, the contract reinforces West Bengal’s growing emphasis on technology-enabled public service delivery and digital governance. The large-scale healthcare initiative is expected to improve beneficiary access across the state while creating opportunities for faster digital verification systems and strengthening the ecosystem for e-governance service providers operating in the region.

BLS International, which operates in more than 100 countries and serves over 46 government clients worldwide, said the project further expands its presence in the healthcare and e-governance sectors through technology-driven citizen service solutions.
