On Monday evening, a strong earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said, shaking felt in the capital Taipei but no immediate reports of damage. The epicentre was given in the sea 56 kilometres east of the coastal city of Hualien. The weather bureau said the quake measured 6.0 in magnitude and hit at the relatively shallow depth of 19 kilometers. The United States Geological Survey put the magnitude higher at 6.2. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that, the last date for filing Income Tax Return will not be extended. Taxpayers must note that the due date for filing ITR will remain December 31, 2021. On Friday Revenue Secretary Tarun Bajaj said, December 31 remains the official deadline for filing income tax returns. He also said returns filed so far are more than those filed in the previous year. Bajaj said that “he was expecting another at least 20-25 lakh returns to come in between 31st december night. 4.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 struck Pithoragarh district midnight on Thursday but no damage has been reported. The earthquake occurred at 12.39 am had its epicentre at a depth of 10 km in Askot, District Disaster Management Officer Bhupendra Mahar said.  "No damage has been reported so far as the earthquake was of mild intensity," Mahar said. On Wednesday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Southeast of Portblair in the early hours. According to NCS, the tremors of the earthquake had a depth of 100 kilometres and occurred at around 5.31 am.

 On Tuesday Sun Pharma said, its subsidiary has received authorization for emergency use from the Drugs Controller General of India to manufacture and market a generic version of MSD and Ridgeback's antiviral drug molnupiravir under the brand name Molxvir in India.
