A man who had set himself on fire outside the Pune police commissioner's office the day before succumbed to the injuries on Thursday evening. On Wednesday, Suresh Pingle, who was in his early 40s, had taken the extreme step over delay in getting a character verification certificate from a police station, as per the preliminary probe. The Haryana government has banned in official communication the word "Gorakh Dhanda", generally used to describe unethical practices. According to an official statement on Wednesday, the decision was taken by CM Manohar Lal Khattar after a delegation of the Gorakhnath community met him. Airline IndiGo announces Gwalior as its 70th domestic destination
