Rs 40 lakh in cash seized by police in East Karbi Anglong

In a major development, the Barpathar Police seized cash amounting Rs 40 lakh for violation of the model code of conduct in East Karbi Anglong on Tuesday. As per reports, police seized the cash from a passenger bus during a naka check conducted over NH 36 in Khakrajan area under Barpathar Police Station in Karbi Anglong. The bus bearing registration number AS 09C 2272 was bound to Golaghat from Dimapur."The cash was seized from the possession of one Pawan Kumar Sharma who is a resident of Golaghat district. Meghalaya CM blames previous Cong govt for power crisis
