Nineteen government teachers suspended in Manipur

As many as 19 teachers of different government schools in Manipur were placed under suspension from their services in two days after they were found absent during education minister’s surprise inspections. State education minister S Rajen was on surprise inspections of government schools from Tuesday. Assam govt extends ‘disturbed area’ tag for 6 months from Feb 27

Ahead of state assembly polls, the Governor of Assam has declared the entire State of Assam as “Disturbed Area” upto 6 months beyond February 27, unless withdrawn earlier, reports The Sentinel Assam. Illegal limestone mining in Meghalaya’s Jaintia Hills

There are reports that illegal limestone mining is rampant in Meghalaya’s Nongtalang and Amlari village under Amlarem Subdivision, West Jaintia Hills District, carried out by flouting all rules of MMMCR 2016 and MMDR Act 1957.
