National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the knowledge and implementation partner of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has signedan MoU withSikkim-based Medhavi Skill University (MSU) and Hyderabad-based Inter National Institute of Fashion Designing (INIFD) to design, curate and develop new-age short term courses in the field of fashion design, interior design, and beauty and wellness.
The collaboration aims to equip students with fashion and interior design industry-relevant skills, enabling them to apply their academic knowledge in real-life scenarios and increase their employability. The courses have been designed under the guidelines of the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The MoU was exchanged between NSDC’s CEO, INIFD’s CEO, and Medhavi Skills University’s Founder Chancellor.
MSU degree- and diploma pursing students will benefit from skill-based training and practical exposure through design-based assignments and lecture room-based learning. INIFD will provide a participation certificate upon completion of the course. Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International said, “The partnership between NSDC, NIFD, and MSU marks a crucial stride towards honing the skills of prospective students, thereby leading the way towards success in the sector”.
