The long-standing border disputes are to be settled soon as Assam and Mizoram CMs are to hold a talk. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) General Secretary Kamrul Islam Choudhury resigned from the primary membership of the party. MLA Akhil Gogoi Suspended from Assam Assembly

On Wednesday, MLA Akhil Gogoi was suspended by Biswajit Daimary, Assam Assembly Speaker. According to the information, the MLA was found disrupting the proceedings. Language of Math, Science books to change, not medium of school

Assam Government responding to the backlash for introducing English as the medium of teaching for Science and Mathematics from Class 3 onwards in vernacular schools, said only the language of the books will be changed and not the medium of the institutes.
